Russians encounter two german forces

Last weekend I played a game of Sotr with my friends
Andreas and Pär. We agreed on 40 points each and
me and Andreas would play together against Pär.
My german setup:

Command squad 5p(1 staff sergeant, 1 leutnant, 3 soldiers,rifles ) 5 p

1 Mechgrenadier squad (9p):

1 officer (pistol)
1 unter-officer
1 panzerfaust
1 LMG-squad
5 riflemen

1 Panzerschreck-team (4p)

1 Zombiejaeger ST1600 (Medium mortar) (4p)
1 Tiger I (Heavy tank) (20p)

Andreas german setup:

Command squad 5p(1 staff sergeant, 1 leutnant, 2 soldiers,rifles,
radiooperator) 5 p

Mech (Large)-med. armour, twin linked LMG, dropmech,
Light AT-gun, Light AT-gun (15p)

Para drop armour+2 flamethrowers(6p)

LMG-team (3p)

1 Mechgrenadier squad (6p):

1 pioneers
1 flamethrower
1 panzerfaust
1 Käfer Raketen Werfer (Medium mortar) (4p)

The russians had a total of 80points and also a mecha that

could dig in and attack behind the german lines.
The russians had mortars and a lot of anti-tankrifles and
gave the germans a match on the table.

We only managed to play one round because of talking
and planning but this round was very intense and the
fate was sealed quickly in favour for the russians.

The germans opened up with mortarfire from both the
KRW and the ZST 1600 and inflicted some damage on the russians.
The germans started advancing on a broad front and
also made parachutedrops in the german sector and
attacked from behind with a mecha.

The russians were very lucky with the dices and knocked
out the parachute-drop quickly and forced the crew of
the mecha to leave the vehicle in panic...
Behind the german lines a russian mecha toasted a complete
mechgrenadier-squad from the rear and halted the advance
of the germans heavy Tiger-tank...
Hard times for the germans but a glorious victory for the russians.
Great fun to play but I am looking forward to a rematch to
regain a german victory! :)
Thankyou Andreas and Pär for a good game!

Ruin in progress

Now I have completed the building and coverpainting
of my ruin in 1:48 scale.

I will later make boards on the walls to add more
"reality". I will also make shading on the stairs and
wooden floor and beams.
To finalize I will put on some shading on the tiles
of bricks.

Intense battle between the germans and the brits

Last weekend I met a new player named Andreas. Over a cup of tea we
battled on the gaming table.:) The points were set to 30 points each and
the game was very intense and bloody.

I(the germans) were positioned in the ruins and behind some small hills and sheds made of concrete and roof of corrugated steel.
The brits advanced behind som hills and rocks and had the best shelter in
my opinion.

The first round was bloody when the brits wiped out four of my men with a rocket from a piat on a hilltop.
Little time to waste I advanced behind my shelters. On the second round Andreas decided to alter the terrain and blew the sheds to pieces. I continued my advance and started fire on his center from my soldiers hiding in the ruins.
The germans did little damage and on round three the brits felt confident on a easy victory and the men started attacking in the open. One of my panzerfausts and a machinegunner, both in shelter in the ruins, gunned down five of the "hard chaps".

The brits were furious and started a fire in the woods near the ruins and burning the germans advancing in it.
Three germans were annihilated and the remaining two crawled back to the ruins. The second german front started firing on the British steel armoured squad and wiped out three of them.
This was the last round and I won with one point because of my heavy fire and that I also managed to knock out one of the highest british officers in this clash. A very nice game and lots of fun action. Thankyou Andreas. A rematch is welcome anytime. :)

The "Jerrys" setup:
Command squad 5p(1 staff sergeant, 1 leutnant, 3 soldiers,rifles ) 5 p

3 squads : 27 p

1 officer (pistol)
1 unter-officer
1 panzerfausts
1 LMG-squad
5 riflemen

The english "hard chaps" setup:

Body armour 3p
Rifle platoon command 4p

Rifle squad 6p
3 Piat-D
Engineer team (4+2) 6p
2 Flamers 2p
Bazooka team (2p)
Bazooka team (2p)

British steel armoured squad
Piat-D 1p
(6+1) 7p

Great Finds, 1:72

This week I got a nice package from Germany
containing figures from both Linear-B and
Pegasus. Especially the figures from the
ukrainian company Linear-B was wanted.
I had bought the Age of tudors(012) and
Gladiators from Pegasus(No 7100).
The figures(1600th century) are hard to find
but I found them on BB-toys and they look
great and will come to use in my game Hugg och
slag as medieval noble civilians.
The gladiators are also nice and from BB-toys
they came real cheap. These latter figures will
be used in hand to hand skirmishes on the arena
of Colloseum(model).

Pegasus(No 7100).

Stronghold in ruins, Upgraded!

Now I finally upgraded my ruin with details and
piles of bricks. The bricks is made out of blisters
that I cut in small pieces.I also built stairs and
nails on all the floors. The floors are by the way
made of solid beech that I bought in strips from
a retailer. I also added fixed doors.

The only things that now remains are some paint
and glue sand onto the open spots outside the walls.
I am planning to use this ruin for both skirmishes
in fantasy- and present/future-scenarios.
If you want to see the original ruin without any
details check out the link below:
