To magnetize or not

I have bougth two more tanks to my Imperial guard
and this will be a very nice punch when playing.
Eventhough this fact they are not ready yet.
I got an advice from my friend Christian to make
the weapon-system magnetized to make the tanks
versatile and open up a variety of options.
I will not replace the frontal lasergun beside the
driver but both the turret and the sponsons(sidearms)
will be updated. In this moment I have two tanks
75% ready for the making and one 50%.
Not portrayed on the pictures I will also scratchbuild
three gatling-guns and another tank-hunter-cannons
for the turret.
On the pictures I also show my latest buy on bits and
some of these will be used on the tanks.
Last but not least I will use two heads to make two
not so nice-looking cyber-combat robots for the
Necromunda/ash-wastes.I will convert two robots
from the Warhammer 40K Tau-range for this.

My first game of SAGA

This sunday I attended to a demo-game showing the game
Saga hosted by my friend Hamza. My counterplayer was Viktor.
The battle was between the Byzantines and the vikings and I
chose to play the Byzantines.
Sunday  the 14th february was also Valentines day and to honour
the day
I bought pasteries(cinnamon buns) with heartshaped decorations
on top to all demoplayers and the host. This "action" was a very
good way to start a new game of Saga. :)
I have never played this game before and I really liked the
rules and eventhough it was a lot of things to take notice of.
Eventhough I got a overall grip of it before the game was over.
Hamza told me that the game spanned from the antiques to
1066 and this is a period that is really interessting to play.
One feature that was new to me was the use of the Saga-dices
and this was a key-rule. Once you start to understand how to
use the dices to "buy" the orders it was great fun.
In my opinion I think the persons behind this game has used
features from both DBA, and games such as Warhammer FB.
I won this game but it was a even match and both me and
Viktor enjoyed it. I will start playing this game regularly and
I will use Norman medieval knights and riders as a troop of
choice when a big campaign will start at the gaming club in
april this year.Great fun!

Exploring old boxes

spelare. Lådan innehöll både 28mm, 15 mm och
figurer i andra skalor. Det var främst karaktärer
men även orcer och annat som kommer att komma
till användning.

One week ago I searched my wardrobe and drawers
for bits to use for my ghosts. I am planning to build
up some sceneries containing old threes and gravestones
and others to make a "scary" feeling when I play with my
ghosts in WHFB and my vampire counts.
I didn´t find any threes but I found a box from my
early years as a tabletop-player. The box contained
28mm, 15mm and other figures in various scales.
Mainly characters but also orcs and others that will be
useful.

Vikings fighting hard

Yesterday me and 3 other friends played a game with miniatures to
simulate a battle between heathens and christian vikings.
The setup and scenery was very simple but the natural obstacles were
sufficient enough to give us all a match.
The game we choose to play was the: Hail Caesar. The Combatants
lined up along the broadsides of the gaming-table  and worked their
way towards the middle. The heathens took blow after blow but the
casualties for the christians was to great and the defeat was soon
out of doubt. In the beginning of the game, the christians pushed
the heathens back in a formation-shape o a fan. But when It came
to close combat it went deadly wrong for the christians...
A fun game to play and I want to line up soon for a rematch.

Nice viking-details and dices.
