A very nice package

A couple of weeks ago a very nice package arrived to

my doorstep in the village were I live.

I talked to my friend Mikael that one of my 3d-printed

finnish Stugs hade broken its cannon-barrel due to bad

handling by the postal-office and wanted to help

sending me two new stug-barrels but he also added

some "extras". The package was filled with goodies. :)

I opened and found a company of Bretonnians knights

to WHFB. Some needs some fixing but no big thing.

I also found furniture to be used together with RPG

and traditional miniature-gaming and scenery.

All the finds above will be painted before gaming!

Last but not least some extra tuft for the basing.

In my next report I will also write about to sets of WW2-

15mm-figures that Mikael also sent me.

I finish this report with a big thankyou very much Mikael!

To be continued!

Review on figures from Speira miniatures

In an earlier report I wrote about a nice gift from

Speira miniatures this summer. In the first report

I wrote about how to handle resin-models and models

delivered in bulk (still mounted on the blisters).

In this report I will write about the very figures and

the scale. The figures delivered from Christian are

very nice in detail and for me it was hard to choose

these because Speira miniatures have a big and nice range

of figures. To name some categories : American civil

war, World war 2, Fantasy, Medieval, Napoleonic,

French revolution, Texas revolution, Roaring twenties

and Victorian etc. Very nice models indeed and one

thing that strikes me is that Speira miniatures also

offer all their figures in different scales (you choose).

The company make their figures using the "true scale"

and this is a good thing but if you want the models to

compatible any other figures from fx. Games workshop

or Black tree design just contact Speira and they will

provide service to get the scale right.

Figures from Wargames factory are very compatible

and fits lake hand in glove without any actions.

I choose the monks to play both fantasy, medival and

pirates. Next on the pictures are civilians that will be

primarily used for pulp-games. Finally but not least are

the evil "Jerrys" that will be used as special characters to

my Wargames factory WW2-germans primarily in the

Secrets of the third Reich (a nice and bloody game in the

WW2-era with occult and mechas).

Nice summer-gift from Speira miniatures

This summer I got a very nice gift from my friend

Christian at Speira miniatures. He offered me to choose

free from his 3D-printed range and the condition was to

test if my choice of figures could be shipped in bulk and

then be released from its printing-base without breaking

into pieces. I tested it and only one figure broke (one hand).

To prevent this from happen again you need to warm up

the figures made of 3d-printed resin with hot water and

then carefully cut them loose with a sharp knife or cutter.

When working with resin or 3d-printed parts it is always

adviceable to use rubber-gloves to prevent the plastic to

be in direct contact with the skin. If grinding the models

or figures made of resin always use a mask or work with

it under water. This to prevent the dust from getting into

your lungs. The resin converted into dust is as delicate as

the dust from coalmines and not healthy to get into your

lungs and your body-system. Apart from this fact the

resin and its ability to recreate details is outstanding.

The figures looks very nice with a lot of character and I

will make a new post that will evaluate these.

If you are curious about Speira minaitures and their very

nice figures and accessories you can visit their web-page

IG - snipers and cards

Busy times but I found some really nice
snipers to my Imperial guard force.
The cloaks looks very good when painted,
so I couldn´t resist this buy.
I also purchased some gaming-cards that
will be used when playing the game
WH40k.

Necromunda/Ashwastes 2021

Before Christmas I bought some really nice figures
on second hand.
The package contained two figures that can be used as
mechas or power-armour/suits. These "mechanical-
figures" will also be a nice addition to my already
collected TAU-figures to convert.
The rest is spot on in my opinion to be played in a
post-apocalyptic-setting.
I will convert the sitting sniper with a gun-mount on
a pipe to make the pose more realistic.
The gunman is also very nice and the details are "crisp"!
My favourite is the figure that I have named the wanderer
and this one will look amazing with paint and shading.
Nice finds indeed.

X-mas-soviets

This Christmas a friend decided to donate a package of
plastic miniatures because he thought that their poses were
"dull". Me and my friend Andreas had a second about this
and split the package in two.I received by mail a package
containing 2 complete squads of russian infantry ww2 (28mm).
Arms, legs, torsos etc to 20 complete figures!
Very nice addition to my ever growing collection both to
be used in Bolt action, Chain of command and Secrets of the
third reich.

Sandbags based

Sun is shining and I have enjoyed some hobby-

work all alone. A couple months ago I made some

moulds in hobby-clay to make a plastermodel of

one of my sons feet. The extra hobby-clay resulted

in very nice-looking sandbag-shelters for my minis.

Now I have put some basing and also glued all

the loose parts together using pva. If you will try

this yourself I advise you to also put some strips of

tape under each base-plate to prevent them from

bending when pouring some pva and sand.

The US-troops that will be used as cold war-infantry

also were updated with proper bases.

Last but least are some finds that will be used

in Necromunda ash-wastes. The heads with nice-

looking haircuts are from the range Spacewolves.
