Cold war - Swedish transport and anti-tank-vehicles 6mm

Finally my long time expected order from my friend

Mathias arrived. With long time I mean that I have

had thoughts for a very long time to complete my cold-

war swedish forces with more transport and also some

very nice anti-tank-vehicles. The green tracked BV202

and BV206 was delayed from another printer for 3 months

because he was in the middle of selling his house...

The rest in grey resin was printed and posted and arrived

in only less than a week and I am very pleased with how

it all came out. The wheeled anti-tank-vehicles (TB C303)

are still on their blisters and very tricky to remove due to its

tiny scale.

These models all come from Thinginverse and I like them

a lot. Here are one link below.

Some of the vehicles bring back a lot of memories from

my service in the royal swedish engineers in the small town of

Eksjö back in the years 1992-93. Back in those days the armed

forces in Sweden were in decline but still the organisation was

still focused to fight back a conventional attack. Today I can´t

say that the armed forces of my country is even a shadow of its

former haydays and the future is very uncertain eventhough some

small steps has been made to strengthen its military capability

together with our neighbouring countries.

The line up of this 3d-print can be read below. If you are in doubt

and plan to print a swedish force of your own you can contact and

get very good service from my friend Mathias.

Soviet Ford GPA-vehicles for amphibious landings

For a more versatile gaming-table I plan to

use more rivers and lakes and also coastlines.

To play this you also need amphibious vehicles.

The soviets used a lot of american Ford GPA-

jeeps as a part of their Lend and lease-agreement

during the WW2. Each of these vehilces could

carry a driver and 3 crew-members and be able

to mount a machinegun for close support.

The design was considered both slow on water

and on land but nevertheless it proved its ability

to cross inland waters with very little preparation.

In my collection I already have 3 jeeps not assembled

or painted and with this buy of 6 from my friend Kelly

I have a total of nine and this would open up for all

kinds of amphibious scenarios in the Flames of war-

game.  On my picture I have also combined these

vehicles with another buy of 15mm-naval soviets

and this looks real good together!

WW2 Soviets 15mm - PBI and extras

For a long time I have planned to start playing the game

Flames of war version 3 but to do so I also need to do a

lot of paintjob. Time is a very rare commodity in my family

and especially as a father of 4 children and working full time

and finally building a new house.

To speed up I accepted a very nice offer from my friend

Kelly that also is a active FoW-player. Thankyou very much Kelly!

He sold me a lot of painted soviet infantry but also som extras

for a good price. On the pictures you can see:

4 snipers + 4 spotters

16 Naval infantry + 1 commissar

10 HMG

3 artillery-spotters

28 DPMG-infantry (rifle)

14 SMG-infantry (small machine gun)

2 staff-teams

12 Antitank-rifle-infantry

4 Flamer-infantry

6: 45mm 1943 antitank-guns

4 122mm A-19 1931/37 Heavy artillery

5 SU-76 (mobile tracked artillery)

3 37mm AA (anti-aircraft-guns)

1 Zis-5 3 ton truck

These models and figures makes me ready for the gaming-table

and I am really looking forward to it!!!

My first 3d-models to print

When buying my soviet 15mm-force I also got some

extras. One of these extras was a couple of long cannons

to be fitted with the light antitank-cannon 45mm 1937

and make it the stronger M-42-version.

A thought struck me to complete these and why not

make a chassi to 3d-print and complete these cannons!?

When drawing I also completed a german and a japanese

version that looked similar.

The result you can see on the pictures. I will probably also

fit the german Pak 36 with a my own 3d-model of  of the

additional Stielgranante 41 (a antitank-rocket that is fitted

onto the cannon).

The japanese cannon (Type 1 47mm) is printed in a large

number because they used these cannons as fixed positions

and not in a flexible tactics as their german- and soviet-artillery

crews. Next task with the japanese cannons will be to add crews.

Next to draw and print was panzerfaust 60. I will use these rockets

both for my german homeguard/volksgrenadiere and soviet combat

engineers in the 15mm scale. Looking back I feel that it wasn´t to

hard to make these models of my own and next project will be

rare vehicles such as  japanese armoured cars and german experimental

tanks. Very nice project indeed and next step will be to base and paint.

Cold war : 6mm-buildings and -models

To test my 6mm military-models and buildings I

made a simple setup and eventhough it lack of paint

and a lot of details I am very pleased.

To summarize the pictures I will use all that are shown

in my project Cold war 1985. The AA battery are consist

SA and East german 8-wheel trucks and also soviet

crane-trucks. On the pictures you also see US M60-MBT

and M113(APC) and finally M1 Abrams.

UK is represented with 2 Bedford trucks and also 2

engineering vehicles. I can´t wait to paint all of this

to put them all on the gaming table! To be continued.
