Siberian brute squad

Last sunday I played a game of Secrets of the third reich with
my friend Andreas. It was great fun as always and even more
fun this time because I also got a gift.
The gift was a menacing group of a Siberian brute squad from
the company West wind in the scale of 28mm.
A very nice addition to my russian force and very useful when
storming the position of my opponent.
In the game of Secrets of the third reich these mutants are
creatures that has failed in intelligence when breeding in
the laboratory but are very powerful
as cannon-fodder and
very fanatical in battle.

I am looking forward building and painting these and also
to test them on the gaming table.
Thankyou very much Andreas. :)

Russian WW2 engineers

Today I managed to convert three figures to make
my russian engineer-squad complete for my game
of SoTR tomorrow.
I have primed and basecoated the figures and I
will paint all the details later but for now they
are ready for the game.
I am quite pleased with the conversion and I hope
that I will inspire others out there to start play
the game Secrets of the third reich (weird WW2)

Cobblestone-road

After a quick visit in Athens I am now back home again.
I have managed to start making cobblestone-roads out of
simple materials. I use mdf(6mm), blue polystyrene,pva
and sand. I have made som pictures to show the phases
to make one of your own.
I am planning to use these roads when playing primarily
medieval-skirmish but I could also be used in several
other kinds of settings.
To finalize these roads I will paint them and put on some
small green just to get the feeling right but this will be
published in my next report.

SAGA-unit ready for gaming

Finally my unit of norman riders, infantry, bowmen and
crossbowmen is ready for gaming.
Due to taking care of my family, renovation on our
house and garden this has been delayed.
The only thing that is remaining is basing and also
ugrading the bases of my crossbowmen.
The upgrade of basing will include more twigs,
flock,small rocks and small vegetation.
I will in this project also trim the grass on the infantry.
I publish both some pictures of the latest paint-
job on my remaining normans but also my now
completed force.I hope this will give you all some
inspiration!

Basing on Norman riders

Now I have completed the basing of three
norman riders out of nine.I like the grass
and I think they look both wild and threat-
ening this way. I have also put on some

sand and PVA. I gathered both my foot-
soldiers and the updated archers for some

grouppictures. I hope that you find them
inspirational.

Norman archers

Last week I got a nice gift from my friend Olle.
It was a bundle of thin metal-thread.This thread
is very elastic and suitable for delicate projects
so I started with making arrow strings for my
norman archers. I think they look a lot more
realistic with the thread and it wasn´t that hard
to do so it is a advice to all of you to make it.
I also made some inspirational pictures.
Thankyou Olle! :)
