Finally the turn has come to report about my collection
of 6mm cold war-soviets.
Due to my parental leave I have been very busy and
my free time is so to say very limited. :)
The collection is vast and in my opinion I think I can
play a lot of scenarios using these models.
I also have infantry in the scale of 1/285 but this
will be presented in a seperate report.
I bought the entire collection second hand containing
swedish, Nato and soviets for only 150 Euros and eventhough
it is a lot of money but I think it was worth it.
The main reason for this 6mm-project is that the range
of models are both of good quality these days and also
that the scale offer the possibility to play big scale
battles without being forced to move from your house.
I placed all my models on display and I must say that
the inspiration for these pictures come from the soviet
Zapad-manouvres back in the cold war-era and the sight
is most impressive.

On the three last pictures I have published pictures on
my "older" collection that also will come to use!
A very nice collection indeed but a lot of painting and
basing before mounting on the gaming table.
Ypur new collection dwarfs your previous one and even that is pretty big.
SvaraRaderaGood luck getting this superb collection to the table.
Hello my friend! It has been a dream of mine as long as I can remember to build a scale-model of my home-town(Malmoe) and play a "What if scenario" involving swedish and Nato meeting the soviets.Outside the gate of my house a bunker was built and nearby several tank-obstacle was placed so I got inspired very often. The final push to try to realize this dream was when I visited a exhibition at the local museum where a diorama was built showing the battle for Malmoe in the 18th century between the danes and the swedes.Very nice details in the scale of 1:48.Thankyou very much Joe. :)
